Zetrix AI Expands Blockchain and AI Initiatives for Global Growth

Malaysia’s technology sector continues to strengthen its position in blockchain and artificial intelligence as local companies expand beyond domestic markets. Zetrix AI Bhd is pushing ahead with its blockchain and AI initiatives as part of a wider strategy to generate organic growth and expand its technologies internationally.
The Malaysian digital services and technology company said contributions from its artificial intelligence platforms and blockchain-based services supported stronger financial performance during the second quarter of 2026. Revenue increased 38.6% year-on-year to RM426.7 million, while net profit rose 35.2% to RM269.3 million. The results provide an indication of growing commercial activity across the company’s expanding digital ecosystem.
A significant part of that growth came from subscriptions and services offered through Zetrix AI’s artificial intelligence platforms, alongside Web3 application service fees generated through the Zetrix blockchain platform. These services demonstrate how blockchain technology is moving beyond cryptocurrency and being applied to practical enterprise and government use cases.
Among the blockchain applications contributing to the company’s performance are Malaysia Blockchain Infrastructure, ZTrade, ZCert, global voting applications, and Digital ID registrations and transactions. Zetrix AI also recorded contributions from sales of its Layer-1 blockchain nodes and tokens.
These applications illustrate the broader potential of blockchain as digital infrastructure. Rather than functioning solely as the foundation for digital currencies, blockchain networks can support digital identity, document verification, cross-border trade, authentication and other services where trusted digital records are important.
Digital identity is particularly relevant as governments and businesses increasingly move services online. Blockchain-based identity infrastructure can provide another approach to verifying digital credentials and recording transactions while maintaining a transparent and traceable system.
Trade is another area where blockchain could provide practical value. Platforms such as ZTrade demonstrate how distributed ledger technologies can be incorporated into digital trade ecosystems, potentially helping businesses exchange and verify information across organizations and national borders.
Zetrix AI is also looking beyond Malaysia. The company expects its partnership with the International Finance Corporation, the private-sector arm of the World Bank Group, to support faster international expansion of its blockchain and AI technologies.

Cross-border applications involving trade, digital credentials and business verification require interoperability between organizations operating under different regulatory and technological environments.
Another significant part of Zetrix AI’s strategy involves the China-ASEAN AI Lab. The initiative is a Malaysia-China technology collaboration established by Zetrix AI and China’s state-owned Guangxi Beitou IT Innovation Technology Investment Group.
Through the lab, Zetrix AI plans to focus on the convergence of blockchain, artificial intelligence and robotics. The company has highlighted localisation and customisation as important parts of this strategy, allowing technologies to be adapted to the requirements of individual markets around the world.
The combination of these technologies could create new possibilities for enterprise automation. Artificial intelligence can analyze information and support decision-making, blockchain can provide trusted records and verification, while robotics can connect digital intelligence with actions in the physical world.
Bringing the three technologies together could eventually support applications ranging from automated logistics and manufacturing to smart infrastructure and digitally verified supply chains.
